This week has been the hardest so far, and the next few days will be icky too, but both John and I are glad to have the taxol/cis-platin behind us. And it will be nice not having to come to the hospital several times a week.

No more rotisserie! I received the last chemotherapy in the series of six today, and am I ready to be done! To avoid nausea all of my pre-meds were given IV so I have been riding a little purple cloud today. This AM I couldn't even move around, now I am fairly comfortable but haven't attempted to eat for hours. The nursing staff put banners all over my room congratulating me . And they found the book that I left here last time.

Maybe to help celebrate, John can put something on the BBQ rotisserie for you guys. Congrats to a very inspiring couple! I am sure that the wedding vows you guys took long ago---have been tested, and now, when both of you take a great sigh of releief, you can find some better things to do than spend time in the hospital. Hugs to you both Heidi
ReplyDeleteHooray! Hooray! Hooray! No more belly cocktails! We are all celebrating with you. :-)

Kay - I am so happy to hear you are done with the chemo. Not surprising that the nursing staff decorated your room; you are such a kind and caring person they are probably sad to see you go! Please take care of yourself and continue to keep us posted. Love, Connie
ReplyDeleteI echo all the sentiments of being glad that you are finished with your chemo. What a trooper you are! The altos missed you mightily on Wednesday. Beth has chosen a bunch of very spirited songs for us to sing. It will be a great year and Greg Thompson has volunteered to re-energize the bell choir. (I think that is what you call it. :) So get well fast and come sing with us or come listen to us sing.
